The 30 Day Song Challenge In One Go!

(why do something in 30 days when you can do it in one?)

Some of you hip kids, with your Instagrams and YuGiOh Zexals, may not know what the 30 Day Song Challenge is. Some of you might be a bit older, and still have no idea what I’m talking about. For you people, the 30 Day Song Challenge was a thing on Facebook a few years back, in which participants had to post a song in relation to each day’s specific criteria, for thirty days. It was briefly world-dominatingly popular, but ultimately fizzled out like everything from Gangnam Style to my confidence in getting a job after I graduate. But I’m bringing it back, for one day only, to give you thirty songs to listen to; because you don’t have lives to get on with otherwise, and I have so many ideas for blog posts at the moment.

1) Your favourite song Rise Against, Ready To Fall (although this cycles between this one, and Rise Against’s two other superlative efforts, Saviour and Prayer of the Refugee)

2) Your least favourite songTinie Tempah, Pass Out

3) A song that makes you happyBowling For Soup, Girl All The Bad Guys Want

4) A song that makes you sadMass Effect 3 OST, Leaving Earth

5) A song that reminds you of someoneWeird Al Yankovic, You’re Pitiful (reminds me of a particular trying-too-hard-to-be-cool bellend from school)

6) A song that reminds you of somewhere Lordi, Dr. Sin Is In (not a doctor’s surgery, but Manchester! The good people of Manchester aren’t monsters or anything, I just really got into Lordi and this particular song when I was up there for a few weeks for work experience)

7) A song that reminds you of a certain event Wolfmother, Joker & the Thief (my favourite song off the first album I ever bought for myself)

8) A song that you know all the words to Bloodhound Gang, Fire Water Burn

9) A song that you can dance to – anserous, Waluigi Funk

11) A song from your favourite band Rise Against, The Eco-Terrorist In Me

12) A song from a band you hate Fozzy, Martyr No More (not all of 16-year-old James’ choices in music were good ones)

13) A song that is a guilty pleasure Machine Gun Kelly, Swing Life Away (I know it kinda screws with Rise Against’s version, but it’s still a great song!)

14) A song that no one would expect you to loveTaylor Swift, Shake It Off (what?)

15) A song that describes you Minor Threat, Straight Edge

16) A song that you used to love but now hateBlur, Song 2

17) A song that you hear often on the internet (should be ‘radio’ but I’ve not listened to one of those since early 2011) – Silent Partner, Riding (it’s the intro music to the hilarious Stephen & Friends: GTA Online series I marathon often)

18) A song that you wish you heard on the radio Anavae, Aeon

19) A song from your favourite albumClassified, Fall From Paradise, from Hitch Hikin’ Music
